potluckdb ships four Linux targets: x86_64 and arm64, each with glibc and musl. The machine’s C library determines which artifact a package manager selects. The tables name each artifact.

glibc 2.28 or newer, or musl 1.2 or newer, on x86_64 or arm64.

Each language installs from its registry. The installation pages give each command. pip selects a wheel for the machine’s C library. npm selects a runtime package by os, cpu and libc.

Java and Kotlin support glibc only because their package has no musl runtime. Go also supports glibc only. Its module contains its libraries, and Go build constraints cannot distinguish glibc from musl. The module therefore contains only the glibc library. The containers page explains the resulting image choices.

Each quickstart is self-contained. Two databases represent a laptop and phone sharing one remote. They modify the same row before either synchronizes, then reach the same state. See Concepts for these terms.

The shortest route here uses Python:

  1. Install the package.
  2. Save the quickstart as quickstart.py.
  3. Run python quickstart.py.

It prints Use query for this statement. and then quickstart: ok.

Every language shipped here has a quickstart: Python, Node, Go, Rust, Dart, Java and Kotlin, .NET, C++.

Analytical reads use DuckDB. No core package contains it. Python, Node and Rust install it through a package or crate feature.

Other languages load the library listed for this platform on the analytics engine page, with its URL and digest. Name that library in the open options. Each language’s installation page gives the exact line.

Each release candidate builds every target in the table and passes every required check of the release matrix before promotion. The packages that this page names are the packages that the release tested.

Each release also runs framework quickstarts on this platform: Electron, Tauri, Qt, Flutter. Each framework page describes its verification.
